When We Dead Awaken, level 2

This level is a mansion consisting of a basement, a ground floor (called floor 1 in the text), a first floor (called floor 2 in the text), an attic and a roof. This level utilizes the elevator feature of A Doll's House, but the floor numbers do not change on the status bar, it displays lev 2 (this being level 2 of 'When We Dead Awaken'). Be prepared for heavy fighting, enemies of all kinds attacking you, hiding in ambush, coming unexpectedly in from adjoning rooms or other sections. In several places on floor 1 and floor 2 enemies may shoot at you, and you at them, through veranda windows, either from the outside or the inside. Always switch between your different weapons depending on what enemies you are facing and what type of area you are in. There are some rooms and sections of this level you not necessarily have to clean out, but alarmed enemies may roam everywhere so to do a thorough clean out may be preferable. Find health chalices and ammo of all types in many rooms.

START POSITION – You are on floor 1, at the entrance to the house. Go through the door ahead. Knife down the brown cloak to the east but don't continue in that direction at this stage.

Head straight for the elevator to the basement (doing in another brown cloak on your way if necessary). A Death Knight to the south will notice you, take care of him later.

Find yourself in the basement and open the door to the vine cellar. Drop the brown cloak and find a revolver plus extra ammo within.

Attract the attention of the enemies to the south, mind the poison puddles. Get rid of the pirate by blowing up the barrels.
Then back into the vine cellar for more ammo and take out the black cloak, and a gunslinger if he survived the blast, as they come. Collect the plasma cannon and the missile launcher.

Open the door to the washing room and finish with the brown cloaks within. Find a 1-up, and mind the water.

You may now explore the part of the basement you have access to at this stage for more supplies. Don't blow up the next set of barrels, you don't have the axe to finish the ghost with.

Return to floor 1.

Some enemies on floor 1 will have been alarmed by the noise from the basement, so be prepared for instant action when you return. Get a spreadfire gun from a Death Knight.

Clean out the northern section of floor 1. (You will not reach the northwestern corner due to a death chalice and a bomb.)

Don't disturb this skeleton, and beware the enemies shooting at you from behind it.

Find a 1-up in this bathroom.

Retrace your steps then continue south.

Get yourself involved in some heavy action to clear this room. Reinforce in the veranda.

You may now clean out the rooms you have access to in the western section of floor 1. This involves some desperate action.

Do not open the door to the east. Locate the secret door and take the secret elevator down to the basement.

Find yourself here. You lose all ammo and projectiles! You can now only use the knife. Take on the two first brown cloaks. Find a 1-up in the nearby secret room.
Do not try to take on the first Death Knight to the east, another one will notice you from up ahead.

Move here, then choose the left or the right path.

The left path: Try to knife down the first gunslinger, and get some ammo for your revolver, without being seen by the other gunslinger.

The right path: Take on two brown cloaks with your knife. You will notice the girl in the second cell on the left.

Find a 1-up in this secret room.

Enter this gruesome room. A Death Knight to the south will notice you. Take the axe. Cut down the approaching Death Knight, then the next Death Knight, around the corner.
Then finish with the ghosts in the room to the north. Find missiles, plasma and revolver ammo. Then get rid of what gunslingers and brown cloaks that may still remain in the basement...

...but be VERY careful about the green cloak hiding around this corner. Have him follow you to a wider area then shoot him.
Later when you shall continue through that passage you should be able to avoid stepping on the ammo bomb he leaves behind.

Destroy the skeleton by the first secret door and proceed to the next, open it and finish with the ghost. Find more projectiles in the next secret room.
Use your plasma cannon to do away with the Death Knights around the corner. Take what health you left behind on your last visit down here then move up north to the elevator back to floor 1.
